Refurbishment 2009-2010

Elements

The refurbishment carried out in 2009-2010 included:

• building a new entrance on Bassein Park Road
• building stairs and a lift to all floors, enabling wheelchair users and others with disabilities to reach all the main rooms
• rewiring the whole building
• modernising the kitchens and toilets, including adding toilets for the disabled
• flood prevention works in the basement
• refurbishment of the additional rooms behind the church
• construction of a new office for the minister
• removal of all asbestos found in the building
